Hey Simon,

So this is basically the Echo inside the car which is cool. You can create a use case for the Echo inside the car but the reason why the Echo is a standalone device and not an app in a smartphone is not because is technically impossible. Is because the Echo is a home appliance that allows users to keep their phones free for other uses and it also serves a communal purpose so the household just needs that one device.

In the car that does not apply. The same interactions that are done by the Echo like machine can be done by an App and in doing so you are forcing the user to keep the device busy while driving if he wants to use the Bot.

So… the idea is good. I suggest you move away from the standalone device and into a mobile app hat uses conversational capabilities or embedded in the cars system (https://conversation-demo.mybluemix.net) unless you have other uses for it. For example, it can be an echo-like device that a user can carry with him and when not in the car it can be put in a desk office to perform different actions like book meetings, assist with conference calls etc..
